Due to COVID-19 restrictions, volunteers are only allowed to assist at outdoor activities (i.e. field day, field trips, etc.).

  • Volunteers must have a background check
  • Volunteers must provide proof of COVID vaccination
  • Volunteers cannot ride on a school bus for a field trip. They must meet at the field trip location.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a school volunteer. Your time is valuable and is such a tremendous gift to our students. We are grateful for your willingness to lend us your talent and energy. School volunteering is also richly rewarding.

Pullman Schools welcome community members to serve in a variety of volunteer roles. Some examples are: serving as general classroom assistants, chaperoning field trips, and tutoring or mentoring students. Take-home tasks or helping with after-school events and clubs are opportunities available to community members who are unable to volunteer during the school day.

All volunteers are required to complete the online volunteer application prior to beginning service. The application permits a criminal history review through the Washington State Patrol. Once the application is approved, the volunteer will receive written communication that they are eligible to be placed in service with the schools.

Please contact Berenisse Bencomo at (509) 332-3581 or [email protected] with any questions. Thank you for your interest in Pullman Schools!
