Skyward Qmlativ Migration

Our district has been gearing up for a major information system upgrade: transitioning from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ in July 2026. This move promises enhanced functionality across key areas of student information, payroll, finance, and human resources.

This project represents a significant undertaking for our district. Since December 2024, departments including the Superintendent’s Office, Business Office, Information Technology, and Human Resources have been involved in the planning and implementation stages. This includes meticulous migration planning, data refinement, and configuring training access to the Knowledge Hub Professional Development Center (PDC), and user security access to the TLA.

As with any major technology upgrade, there will be obstacles along the way. Your patience and flexibility are appreciated as we all endure the growing pains before experiencing the benefits that will come with Qmlativ.

Migration Timeline

Below is a migration timeline as it affects you:

• October 2025: First Data Migration Run to begin Data Validation in Qmlativ
• December 2025: Qmlativ Security and Database Set Up & Configuration Training in staging database. 
• January – June 2026: Training for Idenfitified Staff Groups
• July 9 – July 26, 2026: New Student Online Enrollment Portal CLOSED to allow our office staff to finishing processing submitted enrollment applications prior to the final migration deadline. The online enrollment portal will reopen on Monday, July 27, 2026 in the new Skyward Qmlativ database.
• July 14, 2026 - July 26, 2026: NO ACCESS to Skyward SMS or Qmlativ - Mark your calendars of this blackout window.
• Access to Qmlativ starts Monday, July 27, 2026.
• August 2026: Training modules and TLA made available to staff. Teacher training will utilize scheduled professional development days prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

There will be specialized training for Qmlativ, complete with a Training Learning Account (TLA) for hands-on experience with the new software pre- and post- migration.
