Flyer Distribution in Our Schools

A peach with green leaves, representing the brand 'peachjar | flyers'.

In our effort to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology/ trends, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery. Pullman Public Schools utilizes an electronic flyer distribution service called Peachjar. Peachjar sends approved flyers about different events and activities from school and community organizations directly to parent emails. Parents will be able to view these flyers at any time using their school's flyer board link. Flyers remain on this board until they are set to expire.

Pullman Public Schools does NOT distribute paper flyers to parents. School principals do not have approval privileges. All flyers are REQUIRED to go through the district.

Learn More

  • We work with nonprofit community organizations and other programs that primarily benefit children to provided information to students and families about educational and recreational opportunities.

If you have a flyer for an educational or recreational opportunity that primarily benefits children, you must create an account through Peachjar as a Community Organization. Using this account, you will then be able to submit flyer requests to our district for approval.

Peachjar may charge a small fee that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school (ink/paper/gas or bus/taxi fare to drive to each school to drop off flyers).

If you are a nonprofit organization and have a FREE community event that your would like to share without an added cost, please obtain approval from Peachjar through their Community Free Flyer Program. Under this program, Peachjar may grant you one (1) free flyer per month, under their eligibility guidelines.

  • Peachjar's Community Free flyer program is their way of giving back to communities by covering the fees for 1 flyer per 28 days for organizations promoting a charitable free program, service or resource where children are the direct beneficiary. Their Community Free Posting Program is based on the nature of the flyer itself and not the organization’s tax-exempt status. Peachjar reserves the right to determine final eligibility.

What Qualifies as a Community Free Flyer?

    • Your charitable program, service or resource directly benefits children and does not require participants to qualify, has no enticement for future fee-based programs, and does not serve the purpose of fundraising, collecting donations or allow for the purchase of products or services.
    • Your organization is not nationally recognized and physically resides within the boundaries of the school district you wish to distribute to.
    • Your organization is not receiving fees or revenue from vendors participating in the event.

Submissions are limited to one flyer distribution to one school district every 28 days. If you wish to distribute to more than one school district or more frequently than every 28 days, you may choose to distribute a standard flyer, subject to Peachjar's service fees.

    How it Works

Every Community Free flyer submission will go through this process:

    1. Review these qualifications and limitations to ensure your program/event is appropriate for our Community Free Program.
    2. Register as a Community Organization on Peachjar.com and contact Peachjar Support for instructions on how to apply by emailing support@peachjar.com or calling (858) 997-2117.
    3. Peachjar will review your application in 3-5 business days and notify you whether or not your program event qualifies.
    4. If your application is accepted by Peachjar, your flyer will be sent to the school district for their distribution approval at no charge.
    5. If declined by Peachjar, your flyer will be saved as a draft so you can still post your flyer using the standard method.
    6. If your flyer is approved by the school district, it’s all set for distribution.
    7. If denied by the school district, you will be notified and your flyer will not be distributed.

Make sure you have the final version of your flyer ready before you begin the application.

With Peachjar, your organization reaches parents through their child's school, a channel they know and trust. Peachjar flyers can include a call-to-action button of your choice which allows parents to click to sign up for your program, contact your, or visit your website. Once your flyer is distributed, you can even track the progress of your campaign with flyer metrics.

Can I use Peachjar to advertise local student job opportunities?

Flyers advertising local student job opportunities are not allowed. This includes part-time and temporary (summer) jobs. Please send these to the school's counseling or career center for consideration. You may also consider other avenues to reach your audience, such as advertising through the newspaper or a recruiting website (indeed.com, etc.).

My flyer was denied due to "competing programs", what does this mean?

If your program or activity is something our district offers, we may not allow flyer distribution due to competing programs.

I want to use Peachjar to advertise to students for the purpose of University research. How do I do this?

University Research requires additional approval. Please see Pullman School District Administrative Procedure 4200F1: Community Relations - Request for Access to Public Schools for University Activity/Research.

What content is not allowed on flyers?

See Pullman School District Procedure 4060P: Community Relations - Distribution of Materials.

Once your receive confirmation that your flyer has been paid for and submitted through Peachjar, it will be routed to the appropriate school district(s) for approval. You will be notified by email once your flyer approval status changes. You can also view your flyer's status in the "Submissions" section of your account under "Pending School District's Approval."

Is there a cost to post flyers through Peachjar?

Yes, Peachjar charges a small fee per school. This fee is significantly lower than the cost of printing and distributing paper flyers. Exceptions for eligible flyers are made through the Community Free Flyer program. Please see their Pricing page for further information.
