Administrative Recommendations for the 2026–27 School Year

Posted Date: 05/08/26 (04:00 PM)

Dear Pullman School District Staff & Families,

As we begin planning for the 2026–27 school year, we would like to share two administrative recommendations that will be presented to the Pullman School District Board of Directors at the May 13, 2026 regular board meeting.

We are recommending the following leadership transitions:

  • Cameron Grow, current Principal of Lincoln Middle School, will transition to serve as Principal of Franklin Elementary School.
  • Tammy Sewell, current Assistant Principal of Lincoln Middle School, will transition into the principal role at Lincoln Middle School.
Following the re-posting of the Franklin Elementary principal position, the district did not receive a sufficient pool of highly qualified applicants. After careful consideration, and given both the limited candidate pool and the timing within the school year, we made the decision to transition current district leadership in order to maintain strong, stable leadership for both school communities.

These recommendations reflect our commitment to providing continuity, stability, and continued support for students, staff, and families across our schools.

Mr. Grow has served as the Principal of Lincoln Middle School for 18 years, building strong relationships and helping foster the positive and supportive culture that exists today. His leadership experience and commitment to students make him well-positioned to lead Franklin Elementary moving forward.

Mrs. Sewell brings extensive leadership experience, a strong instructional background, and deep knowledge of the Lincoln Middle School community. Her established relationships with students, staff, and families will help ensure a smooth transition and continued momentum at LMS.

With Mrs. Sewell’s transition to Principal, the district will begin the process of posting and filling the Lincoln Middle School Assistant Principal position.

We recognize that leadership transitions are important moments for school communities, and we are confident these recommendations will continue supporting positive learning environments and student success across our district.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Pullman School District.

Bob Maxwell
Superintendent
