Message from Maxwell
As we step into December and approach the end of another year, I find myself filled with gratitude for the strength and spirit of our school community. This year has presented challenges that tested our resolve, but time and again, I have witnessed remarkable examples of hope and resilience from our students, families, and staff.

Our students have shown us what it means to persevere—learning, growing, and lifting each other up through it all. Their curiosity and determination remind us of why we do this work. Families have supported and partnered with us, providing unwavering encouragement and creating a strong foundation that helps our students thrive and grow. Meanwhile, our staff has gone above and beyond to help each and every student pursue their dreams and goals, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve greatness.

The winter months bring a mix of emotions. They can be joyful and filled with celebration, but they can also be stressful as we navigate busy schedules, everyday life challenges, and high expectations. In these moments, I encourage us all to pause and reflect on the hope that unites us, the belief that brighter days are ahead and that, together, we can overcome any obstacle.

Resilience is not just about enduring; it’s about finding strength in community, adapting to challenges, and emerging stronger. I see that strength every day in the classrooms, on the playgrounds, in the hallways, and beyond. It’s a testament to the incredible people who make up this district.

As we prepare for winter break, I hope you will take time to rest, recharge, and reconnect with loved ones. Celebrate the milestones you’ve achieved, no matter how small, and look forward with optimism to what lies ahead. Together, we are building a community rooted in care, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to our students' success.

Thank you for all you do to make our schools a place where hope and resilience flourish.

Wishing you a safe, peaceful, and joyful holiday season.

Warm regards,

Bob Maxwell
Superintendent

PSD Winter Weather Operating Procedures
Reminder! During adverse weather conditions it may become necessary to implement one or a combination of our emergency operating procedures. Automated emails, phone calls, app notifications and/or text messages are made to all parents/guardians if there is a delay or closure due to snow and/or ice. In addition, we notify tv and radio news channels, post on our website, and post to social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

Reminder, if a delayed start time occurs on a Late-Start Monday, the delay time will be based on your school's typical Tuesday-Friday start time. One (1) Hour Delay and Two (2) Hour Delay start times for each school building can be found on our district website.: https://www.pullmanschools.org/families/helpful_resources/inclement_weather

To ensure parents/guardians are prepared to receive these notifications, please ensure we have the correct phone and email address on file by clicking 'My Account' in your ParentSquare. If you have any questions about your account contact information, please contact info@psd267.org.

How should you prepare for changes to the school day?
Every family should have a home emergency plan in place that can be put into action on short notice. Ensure that your children have an alternate place to stay if you must be at work on a day when school has been delayed, cancelled or dismissed early. Ensure that a neighbor, family member or care center is able to care for or receive students during a change to the school day.

Changes to Our Board Document Management Platform
As part of our commitment to transparency and efficient governance, we want to inform you about a change to our board document management platform. Starting January 2025, the district will begin the transition from the TransAct eConvene platform to the Board OnTrack platform.

This change was necessitated by TransAct’s decision to sunset the eConvene portal in June 2025. As part of this process, TransAct is moving its customers over to Board OnTrack to ensure continuity in providing access to board materials and maintaining a user-friendly experience for our community.

We are pleased to share that this transition comes at no additional cost to the district. The cost of Board OnTrack aligns with what we have been paying for eConvene, allowing us to maintain fiscal responsibility while continuing to provide a robust platform for board document management.

The appearance and functionality of our portal may look different, but the content and commitment to public access remain the same. Thank you for your understanding and support as we implement this necessary update. If you have any questions or need assistance navigating the new platform, please do not hesitate to reach out to our District Office by email at info@psd267.org or by phone at (509) 332-3581.

Students in Grades 6-12 who use Pullman Transit - 2025 Pullman Transit Youth Fare Free Bus Pass Update
The 2024 Youth Fare Free bus passes for students will expire on December 31, 2024.

To avoid early distribution and the risk of students losing their passes over the break, LMS/PHS students can pick up their 2025 Youth Fare Free bus pass at their school when they return from Winter break on January 6, 2025. To accommodate the transition, the City of Pullman is allowing a small grace period in early January, during which old passes will still be honored.

Youth passes are also available for pick up at City Hall (190 SE Crestview St, Bldg A) or at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center (150 E Spring St). Student must be present when requesting a pass from City Hall or the WSU Visitor Center and they must provide a valid school I.D. card or proof of birthdate.
