Social Emotional Support

Pullman School District is committed to supporting every student's academic growth as well as their social, emotional and behavioral growth. Part of our desired state for Pullman students is for them to be able to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships and make responsible decisions.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) provides a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students' ability to succeed in school, careers, and life. To rebuild thriving schools, we need to prioritize safe, supportive, culturally sustaining, and equitable learning environments that promote the social and emotional competencies of both students and adults. This requires centering our transition plans and processes in relationship-building and authentic partnerships that honor the voices and experiences of all members of the school community.
