Teacher Negotiations Update

August 3, 2018:

We are pleased to announce that an additional bargaining session has been scheduled with the PEA to discuss contract negotiations. We will meet on August 15th from 8:30am-Noon in the PHS Community Room. We are looking forward to working with the PEA to reach a fair contract.

August 1, 2018:

Pullman Public Schools and the Pullman Education Association (PEA) wrapped up their last scheduled session of contract negotiations at 4:45pm on July 31st. The final salary offers presented by Pullman Public Schools to the PEA include a $43,100 starting base salary for teachers (plus 5.5 professional learning days for a total of $44,417), going up to $81,236 (plus 5.5 professional learning days for a total of $83,718) at the high end of the salary schedule. Pullman Public School’s offer is an 18.01% increase over the 2017-2018 base salary, and a 12.84% increase when factoring in the previous Time, Responsibility, Incentive (TRI) pay.

The PEA has declared an “impasse”.
